Civil society rallies for aid effectiveness in Kyrgyzstan

Kyrgyz CSO initiatives on aid effectiveness for 2010 will gather momentum in September, after a schedule for activities was decided upon in April. As well as a multistakeholders’ meeting on 1 December, activities will include provincial CSO consultations on aid effectiveness and development, and country research on the impact of CSO involvement in PD and AAA monitoring. Upcoming meetings:

September to December 2010

Data collection as preparation for multistakeholder meeting. Data on results of the  AAA implementation,  data from State and donors on their actions on AAA implementation (for accountability and transparency mechanism, fund for capacity development of CSOs and elected councils’ members

15 September

CSOs' Round Table for the creation of a CSO platform and a CSO working group to monitor the implementation of AAA, and a discussion of the monitoring matrix for the implementation of AAA.
